If your brakes suddenly give out what should you do? a. unfasten your seat belt and prepare to leave the vehicle b. downshift into a lower gear c. apply the parking brake d. b and c e. none of the above

Answers

Jump out of your car i believe
If your brakes go out, you will do the the following things:
1) Downshift to a lower gear.
2) If regular brakes are available, pump the brake pedal fast and hard to build up brake fluid pressure.
3) After three or four pumps, if the brakes haven’t started working yet, do the third step: use the parking brake.
Slowly apply the parking brake and be prepared for the car to skid.
I think the best thing to do is if theres an emergency brake use it or run into a tree but that is ur unsafe answer
Downshift to a lower gear, if you don't have anti lock brakes pump the pedal fast and hard to build up brake fluid pressure and if they haven't started working after three or four pumps coast to the side of the road and let the car come to a full stop
Downshift to a lower gear or range (automatic transmissions) to slow your vehicle.

Pump the brake pedal fast and hard to build up brake fluid pressure - you will know in three to four pumps if the brakes will work - but do not pump antilock brakes.

Use your parking or emergency brake to gently slow your vehicle, but release it before the vehicle starts to skid.

Steer and swerve to avoid a collision or steer into something soft like bushes.

Sound your horn and flash your lights to alert other drivers.

When you are stopped, turn off the ignition and turn on your emergency flashers.

If your brakes get wet and do not work (like when you go through a big puddle), dry them by lightly pressing the gas pedal and brake pedal at the same time so that the vehicle drives against the pressure of the brakes. Do this only until the brakes begin working.
Depending on where the tree is car is located at, it is best to try not to move as much, unless you are extremely sure you are able to get out without falling off a cliff or something. If you are not sure that you can make it out, try to contact 9-1-1 and tell them your location and whats the trouble. After your call, just wait until reinforcements arrive, excuse me i meant rescue lol

hope this helps XD
In the event of ones brakes failing one should first resort to emergency brakes, If one does not have such brakes then resort to downshifting gears(if its a standard). So your answer would be C
