The red scare of 1919 was caused by a fear of immigrants after WWI.
Sacco-Vanzetti were two Italian immigrants accused of murder and robbery.  They were not given a fair trial because they were immigrants and sentenced to death.  Most supported the court's decision but some intellectuals began to support Sacco and Vanzetti.
The Scopes case showed a new support of fundamentalism which would be sticking more to the bible word for word.  Scopes was tried for teaching evolution in a school which went against the bible beliefs 



The Twenty-first Amendment (Amendment XXI) to the United States Constitution repealed the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which had mandated nationwide Prohibition on alcohol.

The repeal of Prohibition in the United States was accomplished with the passage of the Twenty-first Amendment to the United States Constitution on December 5, 1933.
